If you want to learn how to make money on the Internet, then SEO is probably one of the most important things that you’ll have to learn. But the most common misconception about search engine optimization is that it’s too hard and complex.

The real truth is that SEO is quite easy to learn. Obviously you should start with the basics first. There are only a few simple rules that you need to keep in mind and basically it’s all about common sense. You don’t need to trick search engines especially Google because it’s only going to be a waste of your time.

I first started making money online by writing articles and direct linking those articles to the vendor’s site. Direct linking is only advisable for beginners so they could get a feel on how the basic flow works. But if you’re thinking on building a long term business model then direct linking is probably the worst route that you could take.

So after I got some income going on, I went on to build my own sites but I didn’t have any idea how to get them ranked in search engines. You can get a lot of misinformation when it comes to learning proper SEO techniques. There are just too many self-proclaimed SEO gurus that only talk the talk but definitely is not walking the walk.

The SEO Method Video 1 – How Search Engines Work - Even though I have some basic SEO knowledge, I still watched this video just to make sure I didn’t overlook anything. I love David’s explanation on this video because I didn’t get bored by the technical stuff. I’m confident that my 12-year old sister can quickly understand how search engines work because of this video. But if you’ve been doing SEO for a while then there’s a good chance that you might find this video a little boring.

The SEO Method Video 2 – On Page and Off Page Optimization – This is where David explains the concept behind on page and off page factors that affect how search engines rank a web page. It’s important to remember that nobody knows exactly how Google ranks a web page and I like the fact that David is aware of this. He basically provides general guidelines that worked out for him.

The SEO Method Video 3 – The Ranking Process – This is where the madness begins! He starts out a diagram with only your money site then eventually he shows you the different levels of where to get links.

The SEO Method Review – Bonus Tip

Want to know where David Jenyns gets his first level of links? The ranking process starts out by writing 10-15 articles and submitting them over at EzineArticles.com. If you’re targeting a long tail keyword that is not too competitive then doing this step will give you top rankings.
