How do you setup an online business? Where do you start? Is there a right or wrong way?

I only became interested in setting up an online business when I saw a fellow blogger who is earning 15K a month with Internet marketing.

As I continued promoting my web design services, I’ve been having a tough time dealing with clients who’s always looking for cheap web designs. Eventually I ran out of client leads because I didn’t want to lower my rates.

That’s when I decided to try making money online from Internet marketing.

Once I started working, I soon realized that Internet marketing is not easy. At first it may look like it’s a piece of cake because you don’t need a lot of stuff like a normal offline business would need, but it’s still not a walk in the park especially if you’re just starting out.

The first challenge was to find the best educational resource available because the system that I tried out didn’t really work for me. There were hundreds of guides that promised overnight riches. I bought some of them but I discovered that they were either garbage information that I can find for free or that they were too advanced.

I had to accept the fact that I have to try out some things and see if it will work out or not. I told myself that buying some guides would be an investment for my business. This caused me a lot of frustration because I’ve wasted a lot of money and a good amount of my time.

Can you really setup an online business?

First, Internet marketing is the best place if you want to start a profitable business because:

  • You can start out with little or no budget at all.
  • Your success depends on how hard and consistent you take action.

Second, you must accept the fact that there is no proven and effective way to setup an online business without quality education and training (try Wealthy Affiliate).

Being an Internet marketer will require you to have a different mindset towards being successful.

After you’ve put in the required effort (be honest with yourself), you will start seeing positive results. Forget about getting rich quick because there’s no such thing!
